Firefighters tackle blaze in Newry city centre
NI Fire and Rescue services have now extinguished a blaze which broke out early this morning (Wednesday) in Newry city centre. Firefighters were called to reports of a shed on fire Clares Avenue area at 9.09am. The fire was attended to by one appliance from Warrenpoint Fire Station and one appliance from Banbridge Fire Station. Firefighters are tackling a housefire in Worcester Park.
The London Fire Brigade were called to a blaze on Caverleigh Way just before 10am this morning. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Sutton, Mitcham and Kingston fire stations remain at the scene. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
