Firefighters Quickly Put Out Garage Fire in Florence Area

It took firefighters 18 minutes Saturday to put out flames in a garage in the Florence area of Los Angeles that had two accessory dwelling units attached. The fire was reported at 3:06 p.m. at 145 E. 78th St., said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Margaret Stewart. The garage was well involved in flames when firefighters arrived, Stewart said.
