Belleville Fire, along with Belleville Police and Hastings Quinte Paramedics responded to a house fire in the 200 block of Herchimer Avenue that started at approximately 4:45am Saturday morning. An extra fire crew were called in to help at the scene. The fire began in the basement and smoke and water damage is spread throughout the building, with fire damage in the basement level. Fire on Herchimer Avenue

Belleville Fire and Rescue along with police are responding to a structure fire on Herchimer Avenue early Saturday morning. Firefighters were called to the scene at close to 4:30am, after a building caught fire near the intersection of Herchimer and Victoria Ave. Firefighters remain on site, working on the building. At least one injured person was taken to the hospital. Surrounding roads are closed due to the fire.
