Fire engulfs roof of Glasgow city centre hotel
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service deployed 11 appliances to control a rooftop blaze near the Revolver and House of Gods hotels, with multiple buildings evacuated as a precaution.

- Aerial footage by Vyro Media shows flames pouring from the roof as firefighters use height appliances, while `Crowds of people had been evacuated from the building into Virginia Street`, a witness reported.
- Shortly after 7am this morning Glassford Street reopened to traffic, though pedestrian access remains restricted and Trades Hall remains closed until fire officers permit re-entry.
- On Sunday the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the incident had been scaled back but two fire engines remained as crews checked the building for any remaining fires, while police said the blaze is not being treated as wilful and the cause remains unclear.
