Fire destroys barn, chickens in Casco Township

A barn with 30 animals and a silo is on fire just south of Åtorp in Degerfors municipality. Early this morning, the rescue service confirmed that all animals had perished in the fire, Nerikes Allehanda reports.

ALLEGAN — A fire destroyed a barn and killed many egg-laying chickens on a farm in Casco Township earlier this week.

There is not much left of the barn of the farm on Capeller Street in Werne-Schmintrup. During the night on Good Friday (18 April) the building directly adjacent to the house and stable caught fire.
