A high-threshold Seveso weapons production site in the Cher is no longer threatened by a fire that had spread to its surroundings this Wednesday. Morthomiers, a village bordering the industrial site KNDS, was evacuated.
All access to the KNDS industrial site, classified as Seveso high threshold and located in the Cher, was prohibited following a fire that spread near the site. If the risk is now "excluded", the prefecture specifies that the fire is still in progress.
