It's almost frustrating how little is known about figure skater Alois Lutz. Given that the jump named after him is now a staple of figure skating competitions and is considered one of the most challenging elements after the axel, one would imagine that there would be stacks of sources available about him. But there aren't, and so his story remains shrouded in mystery. As does what he actually looked like.
