Fight inside Capo's Bar leads to stabbing
Police say a fight inside Capo's Bar led to a stabbing, and investigators are seeking suspects and witnesses after more than 40 prior incidents.
A person was stabbed in the chest following a fight inside the Capo bar in Pittsburgh, with officers from the South Side Entertainment Patrol finding the victim near East Carson Street shortly before midnight Friday.
This incident occurs two months after Capo reached an agreement with the Allegheny County District Attorney to remain open, following a nuisance lawsuit citing more than 40 reported incidents at the establishment.
During a Halloween party, investigators found "evidence of the incident" inside the bar, and Pittsburgh EMS transported the victim to a hospital where they remain in critical condition.
Police evacuated the premises to secure the scene while The Mobile Crime Unit responded to investigate; authorities have not announced any arrests or identified suspects in the stabbing.
Officials have not stated whether this incident violates the court-ordered agreement, though the Allegheny County District Attorney previously indicated it could ask a judge to shut the bar down if conditions are violated.
