This year, the public auction of car wrecks towed from the streets, organized annually by the city of Liberec, saw record interest. This time there were 21 cars on offer and thirty interested parties arrived to fight for them. The biggest attraction for them was apparently the crashed 2018 Land Rover Discovery, which also ended up being auctioned at the highest price in the history of the local auctions.

A record amount for one car was raised in Liberec on Tuesday 22 September by an auction of car wrecks towed from the streets of the city. The price for the eight-year-old Land Rover rose from a starting price of 3,000 crowns to 153 thousand crowns. So much was offered by Petr Pospách, who came all the way from Moravia to do so.
