- The world governing body FIFA announced on Tuesday that applications for its first ticket draw open Sept. 10, marking the initial phase for the 2026 World Cup co-hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.
- With the expanded 48-team format, FIFA said phased ticket releases address anticipated high demand, though it did not detail when the draw will occur.
- Fans will need a FIFA ID to enter the ticket draws, with deluxe single-game packages starting at $2,500 through On Location’s hospitality service.
- Meanwhile, Canada Soccer plans to unveil its revamped Canada Red program offering lottery access, FIFA encouraged fans to register at FIFA.com/tickets, and Gianni Infantino said the event will welcome the world back to North America.
