The Split basketball team opened its European season with a 68:74 victory in the Czech Republic against Opava.
Split opened the European season with a win in the first round of Group A of the FIBA Europe Cup. The Yellows celebrated in Opava 74-68 and controlled most of the game. The home team only managed to take the lead twice, the last time with a minute and a half left, when the scoreboard showed 68-67.
Thanks to their great fighting spirit in the second half, Opava's basketball players dramatized the opening match of Group A of the FIBA Europe Cup against Split, after which they lost 68:74 (13:17, 32:41, 53:55). "It's a bitter loss, because we had great quality today," said Opava coach David Zach.
