Festival d'Avignon in the Midst of Scandal: the Managing Director Pierre Gendronneau Targeted by Accusations of Sexual Harassment

The managing director of the Avignon Festival will leave his post on 13 June. He is subject to an investigation for events that occurred while he was acting for the Autumn Festival.

The Paris Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that it had received a report from the Ministry of Culture against Mr Gendronneau, which referred to acts reported by an employee of the Autumn Festival, where he served until February 2023.

The number 2 of the Festival d'Avignon, Pierre Gendronneau, is accused of sexual harassment in a previous post, said the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
