Shortly after the Paris Olympics, Femke Bol decided that she would not compete in indoor events this winter. "I needed some rest. Not necessarily physically, but also mentally. I wanted to take some more time for myself and the people around me," she explained her decision during the presentation of the athletics team for the European Indoor Championships at the Papendal sports centre.
