Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Cindy Hyde-Smith have reintroduced the Withdrawing Arduous Gaming Excise Rates Act (WAGER Act) in another attempt to end the federal excise tax. Last August, the pair filed the bill which sought to end the 0.25% tax US sports betting operators are obliged to pay on all legal sports bets as part of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
