- Last month, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration upgraded the ongoing egg recall to a Class I alert covering more than 6 million eggs from Arkansas-based Black Sheep Egg Company.
- After 40 environmental samples tested positive for Salmonella, the recall was first initiated on September 19, affecting free-range eggs from Arkansas-based Black Sheep Egg Company.
