After Disappointing Season - Head Coach Moniz Has to Go to FC Zurich

Former Salzburg coach Ricardo Moniz was dismissed as FC Zurich coach on Tuesday after 13 months in office. After his first lead in the Super League, his team was the first of the relegation group to finish in seventh place.With Red Bull Salzburg, the Dutchman Moniz had won the Double from Championship and Cup in the 2011/12 season.

The 60-year-old Dutchman has been in charge of the FCZ for a little more than a year. His successor is not yet known.

Five days after the last season match, FC Zürich immediately splits up with coach Ricardo Moniz.

Ricardo Moniz is said to have been fired by FC Zurich, but he himself knows nothing about it. "A journalist called me, but I haven't heard anything from the club."
