- Investigators seek records regarding an approximately $900,000 grant from the Dan David Foundation in 2021 linked to Fauci. The subpoena also demands documentation of book contracts, including negotiations with Penguin Random House.
- The document demand spans from January 3, 2020, to the present, requesting all correspondence with Florida businesses and media regarding public health directives. Additionally, records on vaccine efficacy, natural immunity, and safety messaging are sought.
- Uthmeier stated that while officials have immunity, Fauci could have broken Florida law if he personally profited from guidance he issued. West Virginia Attorney General John McCuskey joined Murrill in supporting the investigation.
- The subpoena requires production of all records by August 31, 2026. This investigation follows the release of diary entries attributed to Fauci, as state officials seek to determine if elected leaders or the public were misled.
