Fatal crash closes road near Salado, drivers encouraged to find alternate routes

The Bell County Sheriffs Office is assisting the Texas Highway Patrol in investigating a fatal crash Saturday at Ridgeway Drive and Farm-to-Market Road 2484, west of Salado.Authorities say multiple emergency vehicles responded to the scene, including units from the Salado Fire Department, AMR Medical Services and PHI Air Medical.Officials are urging drivers to use alternate routes or expect delays in the area while the investigation continues.
