Littler Hints at Re-Run as Emotional Sherrock Wins Huge Netflix Prize
Sherrock needed just 14 darts to beat the two-time world champion and claim the prize as more than 3,000 people auditioned.
- On Friday, Fallon Sherrock defeated Luke Littler on Netflix's Beat Luke Littler, claiming a £501,000 prize with a 14-dart leg. The Queen of The Palace secured the victory over the two-time world champion.
- The 24-player lineup sparked controversy when Netflix announced the show earlier this month, mixing experienced semi-pro competitors with amateurs. More than 3,000 hopefuls auditioned in London and Manchester for the chance to challenge Littler.
- Facing challengers throughout the show, Littler, the 19-year-old world champion, performed below his average. The format required contestants to reach 501 and produce a double finish before the champion to secure the prize.
- Celebrating with her son, Rory, Sherrock said, "I'm really proud of myself right now." The victory marks another historic moment for the 32-year-old, who previously became the first woman to win at the PDC World Darts Championship.
- Sherrock told Daily Mail Sport, "I have always said I would like more opportunities to promote the women's game." The Netflix platform enabled her to advance this goal despite controversy over the show's selection process.
