Falcons Agree to $54 Million, 3-Year Deal that Makes Kyle Pitts Sr. 1 of NFL's Top Paid Tight Ends
The deal includes $36 million guaranteed and keeps the 25-year-old tight end under contract through 2028, sources said.
On Tuesday, tight end Kyle Pitts and the Atlanta Falcons agreed to a three-year, $54 million contract extension including $36 million fully guaranteed, Athletes First announced.
Replacing the $15,045,000 franchise tender Pitts signed in April, the new deal secures the 25-year-old through the 2028 season while ensuring his $15 million 2026 salary.
The $18 million average annual value ranks Pitts as the NFL's third-highest-paid tight end, behind San Francisco's George Kittle and Arizona Cardinals' Trey McBride .
General manager Ian Cunningham and coach Kevin Stefanski continue prioritizing core talent, following the recent four-year, $141 million extension for wide receiver Drake London.
Atlanta now turns attention to re-upping All-Pro running back Bijan Robinson while building a playoff contender in the NFC with its core offensive talent intact.
