- Carlos Sainz collided with Williams and retired after trying to overtake for seventh, prompting stewards to hand him a five-place grid penalty and two penalty points for the Mexican Grand Prix.
- With five rounds and two sprints remaining, Oscar Piastri said he still had full confidence and `I'd still rather be where I am than the other two`.
