Extreme Heat Warning for Oregon Until Tuesday Night – Temperatures as High as 103 Degrees
OREGON AND CALIFORNIA, AUG 10 – Daytime highs between 97 and 110 degrees and warm overnight lows increase heat illness risks, especially for vulnerable groups, National Weather Service reported.
- The National Weather Service issued an Extreme Heat Warning on Sunday at 1:11 p.m., in effect until Tuesday Aug. 12 at 10 p.m., warning of dangerously hot conditions.
- Amid daytime highs between 97 and 102°F, the National Weather Service forecasted 'dangerously hot conditions' with overnight lows of 63 to 70°F on Monday, especially from Corvallis southward.
- The Antelope Valley and surrounding foothills face highs up to 110 degrees and remain in the 80s at night, according to the National Weather Service.
- The National Weather Service warns vulnerable groups face increased heat-related illness risk, especially without air-conditioned spaces, during dangerously hot conditions until Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. PDT.
- Cooling trends are expected from Wednesday into Thursday and the weekend, though Bryan Lewis said temperatures may stay warm through at least September.
