In Lucknow, a fraudster from Rohtak, Haryana, first gained the trust of a goldsmith and his wife by developing a close relationship over a year and a half. He began visiting the merchant's home, calling him his brother-in-law, his wife his sister, and his children his nephews. Taking advantage of this trust, he handed the goldsmith four fake gold bricks. In return, he received 20 lakh rupees in cash and approximately 33 thousand rupees.
