The export statistics for 2024 are available and it makes clear that the US market is not as important for the German economy as it has been for 20 years. The pharmaceutical industry in particular benefits from intensive trade with the USA.

The United States was also the most important sales market for the German export industry last year. According to the Federal Statistical Office, about one-tenth of all exports to the United States went to the United States - which is the highest value in more than 20 years.
