The director of the Department of Endocrinology and Nutrition of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Dr. Javier Escalada, has warned of the importance of preventing the appearance of steoporosis with a healthy lifestyle, since "more cases" are observed among young women, before menopause.
Osteoporosis usually occurs in women after menopause, however, cases among young women have increased, so treatment for this disease, which is chronic, begins earlier.
