New Compost Distribution Site Coming to Astoria - OANA - Old Astoria Neighborhood Association
Due to a huge increase in compostable material collected, the DSNY has opened a new compost distribution site in Astoria — only the third such site in the entire city. As of April 23rd, residents can pick up a free 40-pound bag of compost at 77-28 19th Ave. The location is open Wednesdays from 5 to 7 PM and Saturdays from 8 to 10 AM.
