Former priest Chris Brain found guilty of 17 counts of indecent assault

- NOS attracted large youth congregations in Sheffield and included a 'homebase team' known as the 'Lycra nuns' who cared for Brain and his family.
- Prosecutor Tim Clark KC described how Brain exploited a large number of women whose ability to give consent was compromised due to his overwhelming control and their fear of being excluded.
- The verdict followed 37.5 hours of jury deliberation, with Brain acquitted on 15 other charges, and jurors set to reconsider five further counts including rape on Thursday.
