Man Sued by Ex-Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson in Pornography Scandal Files Lawsuit Claiming Abuse of Court System
Money says Robinson used a 2024 defamation suit for political gain and seeks more than $25,000 in damages and legal fees.
On Tuesday, musician Louis Love Money filed a lawsuit in Guilford County Superior Court against former North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, accusing him of abuse of process and malicious prosecution.
Robinson previously sued Money and CNN for defamation during his 2024 gubernatorial campaign, seeking up to $50 million in damages before voluntarily dismissing the case after losing to Democrat Josh Stein.
Money's complaint cites a March 2026 podcast where Robinson acknowledged an "obsession" with pornography, contradicting his 2024 campaign denials that allegations of his porn shop visits were false.
According to Money's complaint, Robinson used the court system as "political theater" to influence voters rather than pursue legitimate legal claims during his election bid.
Money is seeking more than $25,000 for litigation expenses and attorney fees he incurred defending himself, plus other awards the court deems just and proper.
