Taipei, Nov. 13 (CNA) A new barrier lake that formed on Matai'an Creek in Hualien County overflowed and flooded Mingli Village in Wanrong Township again Thursday afternoon, according to the Hualien branch of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency (FANCA).
A new landslide dam has formed 300 meters from the overflow point of the Matai'an River landslide dam in Hualien. The dam was originally scheduled to overflow at 4 PM on the 13th, but it overflowed around 1 PM. The first flood peak reached the downstream area at 1:40 PM.
