Menindee residents ‘banding together’ as NSW town faces flooding
NSW SES Public Information Officer Scott McLennan says the residents of Menindee are expectedly tired but “banding together” amid an evacuation order due to flooding. “Water for New South Wales, along with the Bureau of Meteorology have indicated that a peak of 10.7 will reach the town tonight,” he told Sky News Australia. “And that’s looking at affecting approximately 30-35 properties in and around Menindee itself.”
