Although it is not known where the next Eurovision Song Contest will be held, it is now known that the cities of Innsbruck and Vienna have been shortlisted for the host, the Austrian public broadcaster ORF announced.
Do the music superstars return to Ebreichsdorf? The new owner of the horse racing track does not yet want to answer this question. However, they are working on concepts for the outdoor use of the area. Just a few weeks ago, the new owner of the former Magna Racino (today: Comer City), the Irish billionaire Luke Comer, listened up loudly: "We have the perfect location for the song contest and also a finished concept," they said.
The final decision on the host city for Eurovision 2026 will likely be announced at the end of August.
The ORF is now officially negotiating with Vienna and Innsbruck. The decision is to be taken in the second half of August.
Austria has hosted the Eurovision Song Contest twice so far – both times in Vienna, in 1967 and 2015.
According to the official Eurovision website, Austrian public broadcaster ORF has announced two cities that are being considered as the host cities for next year's song contest.
