On Monday 14 July, the European Commission published its guidelines for the proper application of the Digital Services Regulation. Brussels recommends that the platforms check the age of their users, a victory for France, which wants to ban social networks for people under the age of 15.
The European Union explains that this is a protocol “of easy use and protection of privacy, setting a standard of excellence in on-line ageing”
