- U.S. Treasury yields rose to their highest since September in early trading, while yield spreads steepened for the biggest one-day shift since August 2025 and Japanese government bond yields hit record highs.
- Amelie Derambure, senior multi-asset portfolio manager at Amundi, said the move reflected `precautionary profit-taking and some risk reduction` as Brent crude rose to $64.01 a barrel, U.S. West Texas Intermediate to $59.72, and gold climbed above $4,700 an ounce.
