Arm, a leading semiconductor design company under the SoftBank Group, is attracting attention by transforming its business model and entering the AI chip market as a manufacturer.
The technology company Arm has created a chip aimed at artificial intelligence that could transform it completely. The processor is called Arm AGI CPU, and has marked a historic turning point in the industry, as it is the first time in more than 35 years that the British company designs and manufactures its own complete hardware. Previously, they simply sold plans or licenses to third parties such as Apple or Qualcomm.
