The member states of the Council of the European Union decided on Monday in Luxembourg to extend the economic sanctions imposed on Russia following its annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. They agreed to extend the sanctions regime until June 23, 2026. TASR reports this according to a statement from the Council.
