EU Carbon Tax to Hit Greek Households

The European Union will implement a new carbon tax on fossil fuels starting January 1, 2027, under the second Emissions Trading System (ETS 2) regulation, targeting buildings, road transport and small industries.

In 20 years, the number of passengers at Swiss airports has almost doubled, leading to an inevitable increase in CO2 emissions. One of the solutions to limit this pollution would be the introduction of a kerosene tax, but this would be difficult to implement.
