Estonia begins patrols to protect power cables with Finland

Estonia's armed forces have started a naval operation to protect the Estlink 1 undersea power cable in the Baltic Sea, according to Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.
Finland seized a ship carrying Russian oil on suspicion of causing an outage to the Estlink 2 cable and damaging four internet lines.
Margus Tsahkna stated that damage to subsea installations is now frequent and may not be accidental or due to poor seamanship.
Estonia has dispatched a patrol ship, the Raju, to protect the Estlink 1 cable and hopes NATO allies will send ships as well.
