The old Siemens villa on the Potsdamer Lehnitzsee is to be auctioned next week. The building with the extensive grounds and many outbuildings is estimated at a traffic value of around 27 million euros.
The property on the Potsdamer Lehnitzsee has a lot of history: built in 1910 for the Siemens family, it later serves as a hospital for the Soviet army and as a lung cure from 1952. For years, the property has been empty - now it ends up with the forced auctioneer.
Once a magnificent villa, then a lung clinic and finally a "Lost Place" with an unknown owner, who apparently does not care: The Siemens villa in Potsdam has a moving history. Now a new buyer is sought.
On Thursday, a special auction will take place at the Potsdam District Court. "A castle-like villa with park" will be offered in a special location – and with an eventful history.
The listed villa on the Lehnitzsee is forcibly auctioned. The property with a moving history used to serve as a lung clinic.
It was built 115 years ago for the family of Carl Friedrich Siemens – the son of the famous industrialist and inventor Werner von Siemens. Now the old Siemens villa in Potsdam is being auctioned off and is expected to fetch several million.
