The giant sequoia in Abraham Ledeboer Park in Enschede has been named Tree of the Year 2025. This was announced by the SBNL Nature Fund. The giant sequoia received 2,716 votes. The Enschede giant sequoia, or giant sequoia, in Abraham Ledeboer Park has been chosen as Tree of the Year 2025. The SBNL Nature Fund, organizer of the annual award, announced this on Tuesday. The oak in Den Hout, Brabant, and the Catalpa speciosa, a large-flowered catalpa in Frederiksoord, Drenthe, finished second and third.
