Enforce BOAs on sexual harassment in four additional cities

From 1 April 2025, special investigating officers (BOAs) of the municipality of Tilburg will be allowed to enforce street intimidation. As of Tuesday 1 April, BOAs in Tilburg will be allowed to intervene against sexual harassment on the street. This has been decided by State Secretary for Justice and Security Ingrid Coenradie. Extraordinary investigators (BOAs) will also enforce sexual harassment in Almere, Dordrecht, Heerlen and Tilburg, reports Secretary of State Ingrid Coenradie (Justice and Security). Sexual harassment has been punishable since last summer, but boas are not allowed to simply enforce it. As a trial, this has been happening for some time in Arnhem, Utrecht and Rotterdam. That trial has been expanded to include the four cities mentioned.
