Romania will be able to invest 150 million euros in the development of electricity storage systems, after the European Commission has adopted a notified support scheme by the authorities of Bucharest. The money will be used to install new battery storage capacities to help integrate energy from renewable sources into the energy system.
The EUR 150 million aid scheme will be financed from the European Modernisation Fund.
