Electoral reform has generated increasingly heated debate in South Africa in recent years. There is a growing acknowledgement that our current system has reached its sell-by date and needs some level of reform. This paper discusses expert views on electoral reform, public views on electoral processes, models of different electoral systems, and proposes electoral reforms.
