In Burkina Faso, the government announced the dissolution of the National Independent Electoral Commission (Ceni). A bill adopted on Wednesday 16 July in the Council of Ministers will be forwarded to the National Transitional Assembly for consideration. According to the Ministry of Territorial Administration, this measure is intended to preserve the electoral process from strong political influences and to limit those of foreigners.
