El Monte football gained confidence after scrimmages with Charter Oak, Schurr

One of the biggest eye-raisers during the opening week of the high school football season was El Monte’s dominating 44-6 victory over Arcadia. Not a surprise that El Monte won, because the Lions finished 9-3 last season and reached the CIF Southern Section Division 13 quarterfinals and has several impact players back.
