The research teams, equipped with construction equipment, obtained permission from the Israeli authorities to enter "beyond the yellow line under the close supervision of the Israeli army to identify the location of our hostages," the Israeli government spokesman said.
Searches for hostage bodies are under way in the Gaza Strip, under IDF control. Previously, on Monday, the Family Forum had called for a halt to the peace process until the remains were fully restored.
