- On Wednesday, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission declared Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina wanted regarding an alleged case of receiving stolen properties, seeking public assistance to locate the former Pension Reformed Task Team chairman.
- Maina, previously convicted of money laundering and sentenced to eight years in 2021, was released from prison on February 25, 2025, for good conduct by the Nigerian Correctional Service.
- He currently faces a nine-count charge involving the alleged receipt of N738 million in stolen funds, while a cross-border investigation linked him to properties worth more than $1.3 million acquired in the United States and Dubai.
- His repeated absence has stalled proceedings, prompting Justice Abubakar Kutigi of the FCT High Court in Asokoro to warn he would revoke Maina's bail to compel his appearance.
