Educating Yorkshire's future 'confirmed' 13 years after Channel 4 debut
The co-creators are expected to return as pre-production begins and filming is set for September, with the series due back in 2027.
Channel 4's Educating Yorkshire is rumoured to be returning for a new run in 2027, according to TVZone, with filming set to begin in September when schools resume after summer.
Launching 13 years ago, the hit programme captured viewers with its "wholesome" stories, becoming a national favourite by showcasing students overcoming personal challenges at school.
Viewers were particularly invested in Musharaf Asghar, a Year 11 pupil at Thornhill Community Academy in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, who overcame a stammer with help from English teacher Burton.
Co-Creators Grace Reynolds and David Clews are reportedly returning to develop a "reimagined" format, though it remains unconfirmed whether filming will return to the school in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
Fans continue to praise the show, with one commenting, "What an absolutely wonderful series Educating Yorkshire is," as Burton previously tackled exam pressure and social media challenges.
