Edna worked as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office in Milan and was a past member of the Milan American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She liked going to the casino, playing cards, and playing scratch off tickets. She also loved listening to music, dancing, and traveling. Lorraine will be missed by her son Paul (Diane) Fugate of Morris; daughters Betty Fugate Scamahorn of Florida, Debra Fugate Hackman of Milan, and Angela Watts of Milan; brother Kenneth (Charlotte) Cobb of Mason, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Lorraine was preceded in death by parents Harvey Cobb and Mabel Roper; her son Vernon Fugate; brother Emmett Roper Jr.; granddaughter Chelsa Marie Hackman; stepmother Minnie Cobb; and stepfather Emmett Roper Sr.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Paul United Methodist Cemetery in Sunman. Memorials may be given in honor of Lorraine to American Cancer Society.
