Edinburgh pensioner hospitalised during far-right protest in The Meadows

EDINBURGH, AUG 1 – A 64-year-old woman from a 250-strong anti-racism group was hospitalized after being struck by a placard thrown during a far-right protest, police said.

A 64-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after being 'hit with a placard' on Friday evening amid a protest in The Meadows.
