Six prisoners were found dead in the main prison of the Ecuadorian port of Guayaquil (southwest), which has been the scene of bloody massacres among prisoners, the Police reported on Saturday. Ecuador’s prisons are the frequent scene of brutal clashes between prisoners of rival gangs, sometimes with dismembered and incinerated bodies. Since 2021, clashes have left more than 500 prisoners dead.
